Hi, I have found “Lateral Thinking” by Edward de Bono very useful. It teaches lateral thinking techniques which is essential in effective exploratory testing. Also, I dont see “Exploratory software testing” by James Whittaker on the list.
One book not on the list I’ll recommend is “59 Seconds: Think a little, change a lot” by Prof. Richard Wiseman. He’s the world’s only professor for the public understanding of popular psychology. The book basically looks at all the poppsy and self-help books out there and takes a good look to see what actually works… and what is pure bunk. The results are surprising!
Shouvik, this is a list of books that were recommended by testers when we reached out to them; and when we reached out to them, we asked them to individually list only a couple of books. I am guessing that’s why you don’t see the books on the list. Do write to us if you have books that’ve helped you and we’ll ask Wobo to pay them a visit before we include them in our library !!!
